I spent 6 extreme days (including xmas) in Montriond, France, with the coolest mates in the world!
A few months ago Jeremy and Bec organised a ‘orphan’s xmas’ for people living overseas who wouldn’t be spending xmas with their folks/family. Pretty much everyone who planned to be there did make it, except for Mik and his sister Romy who got caught up in the delays in Heathrow – poor buggers!
It was really great to catchup with everyone and spend xmas hanging out. The girls cooked up a fantastic xmas lunch/dinner, and ‘us blokes’ got the fire going outside 🙂 .
SKIING
It started out a bit crappy, I tackled a woman in the first minutes I was on the snow! Errrrrrrrr.
I took a 1 hour lesson which made all the difference, and got some tips from Jeremy on how to really carve up the snow of Avoriaz. By the 3rd day I was able to fall face first down a RED run! Clever stuff hey!
Alex – poor bastard! His carved it up a little too hard and stacked it onto his shoulder – I think he tore a lot ligaments – and had to be helicoptered off the mountain! Then he walked 2 hours in the freezing snow from Montriond to our Chalet! Now that is one hardcore dude.

To any of those xmas orphans who read this, it was terrific to see you and I am looking forward to seeing u again as soon as possible! Big thankyou to Jeremy and Bec for organising everything just being awesome!
You starting to use an external flash dude?

Cable eh? Much cheaper than a wireless transmitter. How much did you pay for it? Is it Canon proprietary? Can I have a squiz at what it looks like?
