Vienna is a freeware, open source RSS/Atom newsreader for the Mac OS X operating system. It provides features comparable to commercial newsreaders, but both it and the source code are freely available for download.
Somehow I stumbled over this interesting web browser.
“Flock is an amazing new web browser that makes it easier to share media and connect to other people online. Share photos, automatically stay up-to-date with new content from your favorite sites, and search the Web with the most advanced Search Toolbar available today.”
One cool feature i’ve used so far – if you find a co
ol page on the net, you can control-click it and say “Blog This” – Flock will allow you to post an entry straight to your blog.It seems pretty ok so far – runs as fast as safari and seems to be displaying pages properly.
If it does anything super cool I’ll update this post.
I saw read an article on digg that said you can reduce energy use ~ global warming by using less white on your website (the article proved to be pretty innaccurate, but i thought it was a nice idea and a chance to “enhance” my site).
So being as environmentally friendly as I am I decided to move my wordpress theme over to something a little less bright. I also got a sidebar going – i used to dislike them, but now i feel left out because everyone else has one.
I wanted to change the “Video Kind” of 20+ episodes of a tv show i have in iPod format from “Movie” to “TV Show” and give the show it’s name. Currently iTunes 7 doesn’t support multiple/batch changes.
But I managed to find an Applescript someone has put together:
This script will change the video kind property of the selected tracks to your choice of “Movie”, “Music Video” or “TV Show”. Additionally, “Show Name”, “Season Number”, and “Episode Number” can also be set or cleared for each selected track.
Protected files, such as those purchased from the iTunes Store, cannot be changed. Requires iTunes 7 or better.
I bought a new 17″ MacBook Pro about 6-8 weeks ago – but I have only used it for about 2 weeks. It has spent the rest of the time in Applecare. The display has been replaced once already – however the replacement was worse!
So when I returned it this time I made sure to include a video to help the technicians understand the issue a little clearer (hopefully).
