I just got back from a great and much needed 3 day getaway to Railay beach, Krabbi province, Thailand. <br>I wokeup Tuesday morning, grabbed my bag, and headed for Suvarnabhumi airport. 150 baht later i headed straight up to the Thai Air Asia and asked for a ticket for the next flight to Krabbi. Then, 2700 baht and 2-3 hours later, I was sitting on East Railay beach chomping on some pad thai goong and a cool bottle of heineken. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhÂ
To get to Railay I went via Ao Nang to catch a long boat around to West Railay beach. It was a bit iffy – big storm brewing – but I chanced it with a couple of Germans and made it over with no problems – despite what the cautious American with a funny eye had predicted.
There isn’t a whole lot more to the story except i chilled out, met some cool folks from all around the place, tried to speak thai, ate and drank, and took a few photos. More photos to come – still playing with them all – I bought a new Canon Powershot G9 (which I’ll post about how much it rocks soon…)
